2019 FFC Scholarship Awards
Recipients
Dave Clarke, JR
Dave has been born into a family that puts community first and knows the importance of a “Servant’s heart. It does not matter what task or what time he is called to serve he will always make himself available.
If he cannot do it the exact time he is needed he will ask, “If I can do it later”.
As the president, I have watched him transitioned from Elementary to High School and I am amazed of how discipline and organized he is, to balance all the different activities he has for school and extracurricular.
Family and Friends is committed to help enhance his development and his contribution to society. We strongly believe that he is destined for greatness.
On behalf for Family and Friends Connection Inc, we say Congratulations Dave, continue to make us proud.

Mikaela West-Ricketts was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida with strong support from her family to pursue her dreams. Ever since she was a child, knew to always reach for the stars.
Not only at home, but also in school she has made sure to play her part in bettering the community. Whether it was bringing in cans of non-perishable food to school for food drives, box tops for her class, or playing a role in an organization. In fourth grade, she took part in a
career exploring group where she was able to express ideas among others and find what direction she would want to head in in life.
During her first two years of high school, she enrolled in Hollywood Hills Military Academy. While attending here, she has spent two years on the Marksmanship team and the Florida Future Educators of America organization. While in FFEA, she would attend rallies in support for the greater cause (such as a Spring Rally for Stoneman Douglas) and constantly help put together care packages for those in need.
In her junior year, she transferred over to Florida Atlantic University high school where
she accumulated two years’ worth of credits toward her bachelor’s degree. When she graduated
high school in May 2020, she chose to transfer over to Florida Atlantic University to pursue a
degree in Chemistry.
