FFC Back to School Request
As part of our on going outreach effort, we have identified a few schools on the island of Jamaica that need assistance.   Through our ongoing Back To School Outreach, we will be helping these students and teachers with much needed school supplies.  The schools that we will be donating items to are: 

Bound Brook Primary 
Rock Hall All Age 
Cassava River Primary 

There is approximately 1700 students at these schools combined. We have made a list of the requested items for donations:  

What is needed:
  • Backpacks & Laptop packs- sturdy (including rolling & one strap for special needs)
  • Binders (1”, 1 ½”, 2”, and 3”)
  • Binder clips
  • Book covers
  • CD’s (writable)
  • Calculators
  • Composition book
  • Compass
  • Crayons (including jumbo crayons for the little ones)
  • Erasers (pink jumbo & pencil top)
  • Gift certificates to department and specialty stores for the purchase of new school clothing, Sport & PE clothes, shoes and school supplies
  • Glue and glue sticks
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Highlighters
  • Index cards
  • Locks (combination)
  • Lunch bags (brown paper and insulated bags)
  • Markers (washable)
  • Math kits (compass, protractor, etc.)
    • Notebook (spiral bound) both wide and college rule
    • Notebook (five subject)
    • Paint set (watercolor)
  • Paper (filler – both wide and college rule)
  • Construction paper

  • Pencil box & Pencil pouch
  • Pencil sharpeners (enclosed)
  • Pencils #2 and mechanical (also beginner’s pencils for the little ones)

    How Do We Collect These Supplies?
    Area businesses and individual persons are currently the ones we rely on to provide supplies for the School Supply Drives so we can collect the needed items. The donated supplies will be stored in  secure locations where they will be sorted and stuffed into backpacks, with the generous help of our volunteers.
