Scholarship award winners will be notified via telephone and email. Award recipients will be announced at the upcoming scholarship awards banquet to be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 7pm, at the Sheraton Hotel at 1825 Griffin Road, Dania Beach, FL 33004.
The general public is invited to attend. Tickets are on sale.

FFC 2012 GRADUATES
Shaneil Melisa Wedderburn
Shaneil is FFC's youngest Volunteer Tutor. She Instructs children between the ages of 6-16 in all academic subjects; She helped to organize several youth events and seminars; assisted in managing Toys for Tots Drive; and created a youth division of the organization. She is the only FFC member graduating this school year.
She is the daughter of FFC President Donneth, and attends Broward College Academy where she is dual enrolled in college and high school. She is a member of The National Honors Society with a weighted GPA of 5.291. She will graduate high school with an AS degree. Shaneil will be attending the University of Florida where she will major in Biology, following a pre-med track. She plans to finish her medical studies to become a Pediatrician, at Johns Hopkins University.
She won the Stranahan High School Biology and Medical Research Honors Award, June 2009, and the Biotechnology Award, June 2010.
Shaneil also won numerous community volunteer awards including: Family & Friends Connection, Inc. Academic Achievement Award 2011, FFC Community Volunteer Award 2011, Volunteer Broward Community Volunteer Award, April 2011, FFC Volunteer of the Month Award, November 2011, City of Miramar Outstanding Community Volunteer Awards, 2011 & 2012, The Presidential Volunteer Service Award, April 2012. Martin Luther King Cultural Center “Youth Changing Trailblazer” Award, January 2012.
