We want to create a climate in which abuse is not tolerated and abusers are held accountable while encouraging
spiritual restoration.

Ephesians 4:30-32

Living In Freedom & Empowerment  is the Objective for Everyone.

Basic Forms of Domestic Abuse that Adults, Teens, Children and Elderly Can Experience

(remember, this is not an exhaustive list and there are many more forms of abuse under each category)

All persons are made in the image of God and therefore, deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.  Cada will hopes that the community will:

• be well educated on the issues of abuse in order to help those suffering in abusive relationships.
Proverbs 11:14

• understand how to offer help and support to create a trustworthy sanctuary of safety for the abused.
Isaiah 61:1b-3b

• create a climate in which abuse is not tolerated and abusers are held accountable while encouraging spiritual restoration.

Where Did The Love Go

Where Did The Love Go?

We were young and in love,
We held hands as we walked into the park
We use to go everywhere together.
We would sit in the park and talked until it was dark,
You couldn’t wait to put the ring on my finger.

We got out first apartment,
We were so full of joy,
Then our first child came,
As I was going through the baby blues,
Then came the abuse.
Everything I did was wrong,
I got banged before you left for work,
And when you returned, I got a beating before you ate.

I wore tall sleeves to cover my scars,
I wear a sunglass to hide my eyes and
Cover up my dark marks.
Look into my face, can you see my pain?
My tears are a water fountain.
I asked God to take me over my mountain.
Do you remember our first kiss?
When did our love become amiss?

Where did the love go?
I cry out to the Lord,
Lord I need an answer from you,
I just don’t know what to do.
A voice is shouting in my head,
Get out, run, run, run, for your life
Another voice said no, you are his wife
I look at the knife and I said
Tonight is the end of my abuse.

Then I remember my children sleeping in their room,
I cried out to the Lord, Lord how much more?
He whispered words of comfort,
No other voice can speak.
I said to myself, what will be the reason
For him to beat me again tonight?
What wrong will I be accused of this time?
I tried to sing a song to comfort my soul,
Trying to keep from going out of my mind.
God has a way of working things out.
Without a doubt, so I am waiting on the Lord?
